Professor leads infidelity, forgiveness study

Some people say that forgiveness is the final form of love. That may be true for some, but according to a new case study, forgiveness might actually reflect badly on the victim of infidelity. Heather Smith, a psychology professor at Sonoma State, led a study with her team of co-authors Chris Goode and Desiree Ryan to explore the correlation of infidelity and forgiveness and how society views the actions of victims of infidelity.

Last Friday afternoon, Sonoma State students had the opportunity to meet with representatives from 42 different school districts from around California at the Educator Job Fair. Six professors at Sonoma State have received awards for creating and developing four courses designed to educate and promote sustainability on campus and in the every day lives of students.  The award recipients are Martha Shott, Ben Ford and Sunil Tewari of the Department of Mathematics, Merlin M. Hanauer of the Department of Economics, Nathan Rank of the Department of Biology and John Sullins III of the Department of Philosophy.
