Familia, communidad, comida. These are the three most important parts of the Mitote Food Park in Santa Rosa. The food park consists of three different food trucks that exclusively serve Mexican food from different regions in Mexico. The three trucks, Lucha Sabina, Antojitos Victoria, and Maria Machetes, operate from 12 p.m. to 12 a.m. and are located at 665 Sebastopol Road in Roseland.

Nestled in the heart of downtown Petaluma beside the bank of the Petaluma river lies Brewsters Beer garden. Concealed behind a wood-slatted fence is an all-outdoor concept with room for over 350 guests. The restaurant hosts live music events performed by a range of local bands on Brewsters’ stage every Sunday, Thursday, Friday, and Saturday.

A letter from University Art Gallery Director Jennifer Bethke that describes the exhibition she curated, “Running Fence at 45 years”, is the first thing situated on the walls of SSU’s Library Art Gallery. The exhibition, on display now through Oct. 10, celebrates the 45th anniversary of artists Christo and Jean-Claude’s project, “Running Fence”.

For six years, the Happy Dahlia Farm in Petaluma has connected locals to their environment against a vibrant floral backdrop. After the pandemic, the flower farm’s goal is to reconnect with their community through hosting a wide-variety of events and selling build-your-own dahlia bouquets.

The Green Music Center hosted the Bay Area’s Tower of Power on Saturday, Sept. 4 as part of its Summer at the Green series. Established in Oakland in 1968, Tower of Power, or TOP, has been at the forefront of the funk and soul music genres for over 50 years.
